Although an important proportion of the activities focuses on freight transport, it is increasingly used for passenger flights, mainly charter and holiday flights organised by the tour operators. It is also often used for private business flights.
The all cargo airline MK Airlines choose Ostend-Bruges International Airport as their European base.

Because this limits the growth of the airport and also due to stronger runway regulations, an extension of the runway towards Borsbeek is planned.

Sylhet is a major city in north-eastern Bangladesh. It is the capital of Sylhet Division and Sylhet District, and was granted metropolitan city status in March 2009. Sylhet is located on the banks of the Surma River and is surrounded by the Jaintia, Khasi and Tripura hills.

Jessore is a district in south western Bangladesh with a population of around 2,440,693. It is located in the Khulna administrative division.
